Letā€™s get cooking! šŸ½ļøāœØ" Chicken Chow Mei Fun: Ā Ā Ā ā€¢Ā ChickenĀ ChowĀ MeiĀ FunĀ Ā  Pit Boss Playlist: Ā Ā Ā ā€¢Ā FirstĀ cookĀ onĀ theĀ PitĀ BossĀ AustinĀ XLĀ ...Ā Ā  INGREDIENTS: 1 lb (454 g) rib eye steak (or steak of your choice) 2 tsp (10 g) baking soda 1 Tbsp (15 ml) cold water 1 Tbsp (15 ml) cooking wine 1 small to medium onion 2 small bell peppers 2 scallion whites 3 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp ginger paste 1 tsp sesame oil cooking oil for wok SAUCE INGREDIENTS 3/4 cup (177 ml) beef broth 1 Tbsp (15 g) oyster sauce 2 Tbsp (30 ml) dark soy sauce (You can also use regular soy sauce if you don't have the dark) 2 tsp (8 g) sugar 1 tsp (2.5 g) cracked black pepper 2 Tbsp (15 g) corn starch Cut meat into strips about 1/8 inch thick. In a bowl, add the cold water, cooking wine, and baking soda and mix well Add the thinly sliced meat and mix around making sure it's all coated. Cover with cling wrap and set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Then take the meat from the refrigerator and rinse with cold water. Add water to the wok and bring it to a simmer. Add meat to blanch and let it cook for about 1 minute until it turns grayish remove and set aside. FOR THE SAUCE: To a bowl or cup add 3/4 cup of beef broth 1 tbsp. Oyster sauce 2 tbsp. Dark or regular soy sauce 2 tsp sugar 2 tbsp. Corn starch 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper and mix well Heat up the wok, add cooking oil add the beef, and stir around. Add the white of 2 scallions, 1 1/2 tbsp. minced garlic (about 3 cloves), 1/2 tsp Ginger Paste Add in cubed-up onion and bell pepper Add 1 tsp Sesame oil and stir for about 1 to 2 minutes. Now move the steak and veggies to one side add the sauce and mix not letting it boil. When it starts to thicken, turn off the heat.
