St Alban's South Norwood - Parish Mass - 24th August 2025 (21st Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Dear Friends, This Sunday in our Gospel, Jesus reminds us that the doorway into heaven is narrow. Whilst these words may immediately cause us great concern, alarm, or even fear, we should remember that as baptised Christians, we are given all that we need to fulfill the Lord's will for us, and to enter that narrow gate, having served him with holiness and love. And so, we should realise that, whilst the gateway to heaven is narrow, and not every person is likely to make it, our small acts of love, mercy and charity, attain for us the hope of entering through the door with confidence that we will be blessed with the invitation into the heavenly home prepared for each of us.
