
France retaliates against ISIS for Paris attacks 프랑스 테러 공격
We begin this Monday night with Friday′s deadly terror attack in Paris... France has kicked off bold retaliation... by bombing ISIS in its Syrian stronghold of Raqqa. Arirang News′ Lee Ji-won has more on what′s unfolded since last Friday′s tragegy. Friday, November 13th, will now be remembered as a tragic day for Paris. Attacks carried out there by members of the Islamic State militant group has left at least 1-hundred-29 dead and more than three hundred injured. Violence was carried out at six different sites across the city, restaurants and a soccer stadium. The greatest number of victims died inside the Bataclan theatre where 89 people were shot during a rock concert. IS claimed responsibility for the attacks.... stating that it was in response to insults and strikes against Muslims. The extremist group also said that that Friday′s terrorism was just the ″start of a storm and a warning for those who wish to draw lessons.″ French President Francois Hollande also confirmed that IS is to blame for the attack and described it as an ″act of war.″ In the first apparent sign of retaliation,… France carried out airstrikes on the IS stronghold of Raqqa in northern Syria. French fighter jets reportedly dropped at least 20 bombs in the area, hitting various IS targets including a command and control center, recruitment center, munitions depot and a training camp.
