Planting our first vegetables for the 2024/2025 summer period, Lower Hutt New Zealand Part 1

A little (and at times very shaky!) video of hubby preparing the garden and then planting our first vegetables for the new season. This is planting little tomato plants, and four celery plants that are growing from the base of bunches I've bought at the supermarket, and had them in water on the kitchen windowsill to start growing. I have made up some plant food of chopped up banana skins soaking in water for a few days, plus some crushed up egg shells. Hubby put some of this in each hole the plants went into. I mixed a couple of teaspoons of epsom salts into the liquid, and watered the plants with that after planting them. The plants love the potassium from the banana skins, the calcium from the eggshells, and the magnesium from the epsom salts. What a lovely feeling it is looking at the finished result. Part 2 on the way shortly.
