Heaven & Nature Sing: Peace on Earth

Luke 2:13-14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” We are continuing in our series, Heaven & Nature Sing, and we are looking at the angel's song to the shepherds! 2,000 years ago, the angels sang this song to the shepherds in the field, and they spoke about this peace of God. Living under Roman rule during the Pax Romana, they were probably wondering what that peace would look like? Would it be the end of the Roman empire? Would it solve all of their problems? Would it finally come? The gift of peace that is offered to us in Christ is positional, situational, and interpersonal, and we will discuss all of these concepts in trying to learn more about the Shalom of God!
