Kitchen Sink Cookies are Santa's FAVORITE cookies! We made these amazing cookies using oats, chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, pecans, and walnuts. They are so decadent, that even Santa will finish them off! Recipe: 2 sticks butter (room temp) 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 and 1/2 cups oats (pulsed in a blender or food processor a bit) 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate chips 4 oz dark chocolate bar (cut into small chunks) 3/4 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts and pecans) 1) Cream the butter for about one minute until smooth. Add regular sugar and brown sugar and cream together for another 1-2 minutes until smooth… 2) Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined… 3) Mix the pulsed oats, flour baking powder, and salt together… 4) Hand mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to ensure you don’t over-mix the cookie dough. You may need to press the dry ingredients into the wet to ensure everything fully combines and there are no dry clumps left… 5) Fold in the chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, and nuts until just combined. Save a small amount of nuts and chocolate to add to the top of each cookie for presentation… 6)Scoop out 4 TBS or two cookie scoops worth of cookie dough onto a baking sheet. Chill the dough in the fridge for two hours or up to overnight in the fridge to ensure the butter is set and the dough relaxes… 7) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 8) Place cookies on a baking sheet at least 3 inches apart and press each cookie dough to help it spread. Cookies won’t spread much without pressing them down because they are so packed with tasty add-ons… 9) Bake for 8-10 minutes. They taste best slightly underbaked. They will continue to bake once removed from the oven.
