This is a challenging fight, but with the powers of Ifrit Risen, you can theoretically end it quickly. However, we will still lay out every attack that Ultima Risen can perform for the sake of this guide. Here is a breakdown of Ultima Risen's attacks: š Dash: Ultima Risen can dash at you with blue energy surrounding him. Dodge or use Wildfire to get out of the way. āļø Slash attacks: Ultima Risen can perform a number of slash attacks with his claws. With the increased mobility of Ifrit Risen, you can dodge or use Wildfire to get out of the way. šµāš« Spinning attack: Ultima Risen can teleport a great distance away from you and then begin spinning up in a circle, rapidly dashing in your direction while spinning. Avoid this attack by staying at a distance or using Wildfire to get out of the way. šµ Blue orb attack: If you spend a lot of time up close, Ultima Risen can spin around and throw out dozens of large blue orbs that spiral out. The best bet here is to dodge through one of the first orbs to fire out and you can then get some free hits in as Ultima Risen finishes firing out the remainder. š„ Smite: Ultima Risen can teleport immediately next to you and then fire out a giant beam. Dodge at the moment Ultima Risen appears after teleporting and you'll dart to the side as the beam fires, also allowing you to get in free hits as Ultima Risen finishes up firing the beam. š« Antistrophe: Antistrophe is essentially identical to Smite, only Ultima Risen teleports 3 separate times and fires 3 separate beams. The approach however remains identical to Smite. š„ The Rapture: After recovering from being fully staggered for the first time, Ultima Risen will trigger The Rapture. This is a massive explosive blast emanating from Ultima Risen, and whilst it appears unavoidable, there is an easy method to consistently avoid damage: Wildfire backward until the explosion dissipates. š Homing Projectiles: As the fight continues proper, Ultima Risen can send out multiple mini projectiles that will home in on your position as you move. To avoid these projectiles, you can either precision dodge or Wildfire to the left or right. š§Ŗ Stellar Xyston: Ultima Risen will outstretched his arms to the sides and then fire out a giant green beam from each hand. He will then rotate a full 360 degrees, sweeping the beams across as he spins. To avoid this attack, you'll want to do two precision dodges through each beam as it approaches you during the sweep. šŖ Aureola: Aureola sees Ultima Risen fire out a circular blade as a shockwave, and then multiple consecutive blades will be shot at you at different angles. Whilst you can fall back on precision dodges to get through each blade, you can also reposition yourself to avoid the blade entirely depending on its angle and your location in relation to it. š Unlocking Purgatorium: As you get his health and Will Gauge low in this section, a cutscene will trigger where he begins Unlocking Purgatorium. This has a purple bar at the top right of the UI that you'll want to deplete, and a 40 second timer that'll slowly count down. You'll want to rush in towards Ultima Risen and deal as much damage as possible, as fast as possible. The best ways to do this is to continually execute Burst Finish or Backdraft Finish combos. As you deplete the purple bar, Ultima Risen will be staggered so don't let up on dealing damage! š¢ Pulsar: Pulsar is a unique attack where Ultima Risen will fire out a total of 8 giant green beams in a ring around himself, and then rotate that ring across various axises, requiring you to dodge where necessary, or perform a simple reposition if they're coming in at an easily avoidable angle. š£ Dimachairos: Dimachairos is another unique attack where Ultima Risen fires out a gigantic purple beam. However, unlike Smite or Antistrophe, this beam will (after a minor delay staying still) sweep across in your direction, so be sure to keep your finger hovering over the dodge input. Tips for Phase 2: ā Use the increased mobility of Ifrit Risen to your advantage. You can dodge or Wildfire to get out of the way of most of Ultima Risen's attacks. ā Be aware of Ultima Risen's homing projectiles and be prepared to dodge or Wildfire Interested in seeing all of Ultima's phases in the final boss battle in Final Fantasy 16 then follow the links below: Ultima Prime - Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā FinalĀ FantasyĀ XVI:Ā UltimaĀ PrimeĀ CinematicĀ ...Ā Ā Phase 1 - Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā CliveĀ Vs.Ā Ultima:Ā UltimaĀ FinalĀ BossĀ FightĀ ...Ā Ā Phase 3 - Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā CliveĀ Vs.Ā Ultimalius:Ā UltimaĀ FinalĀ BossĀ Fi...Ā Ā Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more exciting content on Final Fantasy XVI!
