Chevy HHR Speaker Problems!

Sound cuts out, then hasn't worked for months in the HHR. We finally are getting some summer like temperatures, so I investigated the problem. It looks like I need to get to new front door speakers to hopefully solve the problem. I wired in some 15 year old Pioneer speakers and set them on the back seat for a temporary fix they sound a bit tinny, but work.
