He was an all-star in '17 and led Marlins with 12 saves last year Bryce Harper, Kintzler’s former teammate for two seasons with the Washington Nationals, had a hand in getting the deal done. Harper reportedly “pushed for the deal to happen.” Both Kintzler and Harper are natives of Las Vegas, Nevada Dave Dombrowski on Didi Gregorius returning, “He really completes our lineup." Says bringing back Realmuto and Gregorius were his top two priorities. Didi Gregorius, "I'm always hungry to get to the playoffs - that's where you want to be. We'll have a bench that has pinch-hitters that will help us." Joe says it was nice to DH Realmuto occasionally last year to give him a break from catching every day.
