The driver accused of hitting a woman with her car outside a Matthews grocery store is being charged with murder, the Matthews Police Department announced Friday. The driver is accused of striking 79-year-old Vira Hryhorniva Nahorna Monday outside the Aldi on West John Street. Nahorna died of her injuries at the hospital later Monday.
