Causes International Cause This year, we are raising funds for the artisans of Santa Marta Magdalena, a city on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Santa Marta Magdalena has a population of 450,000, while 42% of that population lives in poverty. They host some of the world’s most talented weavers who create baskets, fabrics, and clothing that display vibrant designs. We will help raise funds to help build them an air-conditioned workspace that will provide a safe working environment. Local Cause As part of this extraordinary partnership, Orlando International Fashion Week will proudly award the prestigious Orlando International Fashion Week Cosmetology & Barbering Scholarship to select students attending The Aveda Institute of Orlando. This scholarship aims to support and empower aspiring cosmetologists and barbers, enabling them to pursue their educational and career goals while making a lasting impact in the fashion and tourism industry. The Orlando International Fashion Week Cosmetology & Barbering Scholarship, generously provided by Orlando International Fashion Week, removes financial barriers and opens doors for talented individuals, fostering their growth and success in the dynamic world of fashion.
