This animatic was inspired by that small moment during the 5th trial when Kaito recalled Kokichi expressing that he truly did hate the killing game. No one took that statement seriously because Kokichi had given the impression that he enjoyed it throughout the ENTIRE killing game. He seemed happy. But I am convinced otherwise. He was, in fact, lying to himself too. Feigning happiness just so no one else would fall into despair... I imagine if Kokichi ever did tell the class of DRV3 about this, he'd never be able to say it directly. Hence, the title of this animatic.
