Hello friends, Welcome to my channel Leena's kitchen counter. Not going McD….. Not ordering food from outside…… Want to eat some McD’s McPuff …???? No worries…….because My today’s recipe is McDonald's style McPuff Pizza Pockets. As in my house everyone is a McPuff lover and everyone is missing their favorite McD snack during this COVID. So, I had to try this recipe for them. It became a huge hit in my house, everyone just loved it. It’s a healthy, delicious evening snack, without deep fried, without refined flour or maida. Everyone’s fav McDonald’s pizza pockets can be made at home also. Let's jump to the ingredient list and procedure. INGREDIENTS For Dough preparation 1 cup whole wheat flour ½ cup fine semolina ¼ th tsp salt ¼ th tsp baking powder 4 tbsp oil Water as per requirement ( I didn’t measure the water quantity, add according to your judgement, if dough becomes soft, stop adding water ) For stuffing 3 tbsp oil 1 tbsp chopped garlic 1 tsp ginger paste 1 medium size chopped onion 1 medium size chopped capsicum ½ cup boiled corn ½ cup boiled potato ½ cup grated cheese 4 tbsp tomato sauce 4 tbsp pizza sauce ( I didn’t add it as I was running out of this) 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp black pepper salt as per taste 1 tbsp oregano Method 1. In a large bowl, add both the flours, salt and baking soda. Mix all the dry ingredients properly. Add oil & mix again. 2. Take a small heap of the mixed flour and check weather it is combined well or not. If press it with your fist it should bind itself to form a ball, if it does not binds add little more oil to it. 3. Now add water to knead the soft dough. Add water according to your judgement. Dough should not be very sticky neither stiff. 4. Add little oil to smoothen out the dough. 5. Cover the dough and keep aside for 30 minutes. Let’s prepare stuffing 1. Heat oil in a pan. 2. Add chopped garlic, fry for few seconds or until the raw smell goes off. 3. Add ginger paste, sauté. 4. Add onion, capsicum, corn, boiled potato. Combine everything well and cook till they are slightly translucent. 5. Add chili powder, salt, black pepper, oregano and sauce. Combine well. 6. Switch off the gas & add grated cheese. Mix well. 7. Stuffing is ready. Adjust the spices as per taste. 8. Allow the stuffing to cool down completely. Butter garlic mixture: In warm melted butter add chopped garlic and mix well. Let’s prepare the Mcpuff pizza pockets or packets 1_ Take a ball size dough, smooth it out, roll out with the help of rolling pin into a large round shape. 2_ Cut the sides of the sheet to make a rectangular sheet. 3_ Now cut the rectangle pieces with the help of knife. Four stripes will give us 2 pieces of pizza pockets or puff. 4_ Take small amount of stuffing, place it one a sheet, place some grated cheese, now apply some water with the fingertip or with brush at the edges of all four sheets. 5_ Cover the sheet with other half sheet, seal the edges. To give a design, seal the edges with a fork. 6_ Prepare all the pizza puffs in same way. 7_ Transfer it to the baking tray. 8_ Apply butter garlic mixture on top. 9_ Bake these pizza puffs in a preheated oven @ 180 degree for 15-20 minutes or until done crispy and golden brown. 10_ Apply the butter garlic mixture on baked pizza puffs for more flavor. 11_ Serve this hot and crispy snack with tomato ketchup or with your favorite dip. Important Notes 1. Always preheat the oven before baking. 2. Every oven works differently; time and temperature may vary. So, if not done in 15-20 minutes keep for more few minutes. 3. Seal the edges properly with water and press it with fork. 4. Add the grated cheese to the stuffing once you switch off the stove. 5. You can always add more spices and vegetables to the stuffing as per your choice and taste. 6. Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven.
