Now if we apply the same principle in connection to our husbands, who have a God-given spiritual authority over the wife and children, then we, as wives, also ought to pray for our husbands so that we can live a peaceful, joyful and fruitful life. I think the current reality or need before each one of us in our marriage and family, and the necessity disclosed by the Scripture in this matter, should be a sufficient inspiration for us to earnestly pray for the well-being of our relationship, our family life and our home, by praying for our husbands. Now with this conviction that you ought to regularly pray for your husband, prepare your heart and mind to pray. A very important point to note is that If, through our prayers, our husbands are filled with the fear of God, then, most of our troubles are automatically be taken care of. Because a man who reveres God and is careful to avoid deliberately committing sin after sin due to his devotion to God; such a man will not be a source of terror or unhappiness or insecurity to the wife or children. Therefore if a wife wishes to pray for husband, then her first prayer for her husband should be for him to receive the grace of God to live with the fear of God. A God-fearing man is indeed a great blessing to the wife and the family.
