TODAY'S GOSPEL: Matthew 9:9-13 The Gospel of Matthew reminds us of our mission to share God’s grace and love with others. We remember that what inspired Pope Francis to become a seminarian and priest is his reflection on the Venerable Bede’s words: “God calls us not in spite of our sins, but precisely because we are sinners.” And our most important mission comes from our deep brokenness and woundedness, when that brokenness is healed by God. Today, let us ask the Lord to help us understand what our mission is and how we can share his ultimate healing with others.
