Ukraine War: Limited ceasefire in Mariupol, Volnovakha; Corridor opened for evacuations

Amid offensive against Ukraine, Russia on Saturday declared a ceasefire in two cities to open humanitarian corridors for civilians. The ministry informed that the humanitarian corridors and exit routes have been agreed upon with the Ukrainian side, Russian state media outlet reported. Mariupol and Volnovakha are the two cities in which Russia has temporarily stopped offensive. The partial ceasefire by Russian forces around the Ukrainian city of Mariupol will allow civilians to leave the city during a five-hour period today. Civilians will be allowed to leave Mariupol between noon and 5 pm, Moscow time. The Kremlin had cut electricity, food, water, heating and transportation in Mariupol, local administration said on Saturday. Mariupol is the second port city being targeted by Moscow after fall of Kherson earlier this week. Russia began its invasion in Ukraine on February 24. #Russia #Ukraine #Mariupol #Volnovakha
