Five years ago, I proposed to my girlfriend of four years. Jessica was my first and only girlfriend. We met through my dad, who was her professor in college. She was smart, well-educated, and a D1 athlete. Like she literally was everything. I wanted her to be my wife right off the bat. Three years after our graduation, I proposed to her. She said yes, and we were engaged for a year. Things start to move pretty fast. We both got promoted, got a dog, and moved into our new apartment. I felt like I had it all together. I never once doubted her, but somehow she changed. She comes home late and spends less time with me. She would go to her friend's house every Monday and Thursday at 8 p.m. When she comes home, she would go to shower and sleep. I checked her phone. Her messages and emails were clear. Then her photos, my heart dropped, started shaking out of anger. There were hundreds of photos of her and my dad in his bed dating back way before we met. It was the exact time when my parents got divorced. I never realized the person that ruined my parents' marriage was my fiance. Worse, my sister and mom knew about it. They just didn't want to hurt me. I told her parents, but they support it. Absolutely disgusted. Since then, I moved out, got into a bad car accident, and lost everything I had.
