Why does EXE feel so watered down now?..(Pillar Chase 2)

I love this game and can't wait for other monsters to join the party! One thing tho that makes me sad is EXE (the Sonic.exe that got me into the game in the first place) feels so..meh? Very watered down since his most recent update. I'm not talking about when he had "FOUND YOU" instead of "TOO SLOW". I mean when they nerfed his traps and his "TOO SLOW". Maybe I'm not adjusting well to the new changes. If you have any tips, pleeaassseeeee let me know in the comments! I really wanna keep trying!
