Exploring Europe’s hidden MTB gem – from Bratislava to Martin by train and bike. Thinking of a mountain bike trip? Finale or Canada probably come to mind. But what about Slovakia? Definitely our accidental detour into the middle of nowhere. Wrong station, no platform, just rails and a grumpy station master – but hey, epic trails as a reward! Breathtaking scenery, killer trails, and super chill locals – all easily accessible by train. Slovakian rail? Punctual, bike-friendly (just don’t forget to reserve your spot!) and perfect for a rail-to-trail adventure. My SCOR 4060 was the ultimate companion: technical trails in Martin, smooth runs in Bratislava, and big air in Kalnica – this bike eats it all for breakfast. I briefly considered bringing the SCOR 2030, but after seeing the massive gaps in Kalnica, I was happy with the extra reserves of the 4060. So, what are you waiting for?
