Fact checking Wolfie6020: eclipsed geostationary satelites
According to Wolfie6020 the geostationary satellites are getting eclipsed again. See his video • The Geo Satellites are eclipsing again - W... I just wanted to verify if this is true. And it appears I'm observing his claim as well. At 0:06 (23:38:33) the points of light at the left side start to fade. At 0:08 (23:48:34) the points at the right side. At 0:13 (00:17:38) I bumped the tripod. But that shows the lights in the sky are at least not simply pixels on the sensor or something on the lens. At 0:16 (00:28:39) the left side gets lit again. And the right side at 0:18 (00:38:40). The objects on the left side should be the Astra 2 satellite cluster at 28.2E. Taken with a Sigma 18-300 Canon-EF lens at about 135mm focal length. 60s exposures. The small aperture, lower focal length and light pollution make it a bit harder to see, but the satellites and the eclipsing of them is still visible.
