This song was discovered by composer Herbert Hughes and lyricist Joseph Campbell and they published their version in 1904. The arrangement we are playing is a choral arrangement created by Desmond Earley, the choirmaster of the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. Our trio took his arrangement and adapted it for harp, flute, and cello. The song is very peaceful and soothing.
