From commencement to closure, there will be a clear demonstration of dance genres indigenous to the Black diaspora. Local street dance communities including communities have pledged their participation to raise awareness about the cultural significance of their respective dance forms. Throughout our monthly event, there will be opportunities to witness dance cyphers that will test the fortitude of each participant based on their knowledge, practice, and study. Ultimately, we desire to expose and align the work of the street dance community with that of the broader dance community as a point of order. As our event continues to grow, we need support to cover expenses on the rental to ensure this monthly event is an experience for the dance community and the general audience, who love to witness incredible movement and networking.
