Michael Jackson - Billie Jean | HIStory Tour in Kaohsiung, 1996 | Audio Fix

There’s live background vocals here and I love it. You can hear it clearly by the ‘chi chi chi’ sounds and other sounds similar to that of Royal Brunei. INFO: Michael Jackson performing Billie Jean in Kaohsiung on October 20th, 1996 at the Chungcheng/Zhongzheng Stadium. I really like the looks of this venue, as Michael was basically able to see the taller buildings behind the stadium (similar to Taipei). I imagine people living in those buildings were watching Michael perform from their apartment, kinda like the amateur recording of Zaragoza ‘96. THOUGHTS: I love this performance, one of my top 5 favorites. Michael seems very calm and a bit slower than usual, kinda like the first night in Seoul ‘96 (October 11th) but just without sickness. My favorite thing about this performance, are his adlibs. The “breaking my heart, baby” (the best he’s ever done that line) and “you’re nothing but a” sounds so fucking good. Also the background vocalists are audible here too, which really just is the cherry on the cake. WHAT I DID: I basically fixed the extreme bass distortion that was previously present, and overall improved upon the audio for a clearer and better sound. I also fixed the aspect ratio, as it was previously too wide and made MJ look like a funny lad. This is an improved version of my last one, back in April 2021.
