Man at 40 from German Marooned at Delhi Airport|| spent 54 days at IGI Airport||By Devendra chakma Hi In this video a German national of 40 years while traveling from Hanoi to Istanbul got marooned at IGI Aiport due to country wide lockdown in India to contain the spread of covid-19. A German man standed at Delhi’s IGI airport turned down offer to go home. The officials said that the man, Edgard Ziebat, has said he will leave India as soon as international flights resume after the national lockdown, and wants to stay at the airport until then. He was traveling to Istanbul from Hanoi airport via Dlhi got stranded at IGI Airport for 55 days due to covid-19 lockdown. He reached at Delhi IGI Airport, T-3 on 18march2020 but upon arrival he realized that there is no flight to travel to Istanbul due to all international flight suspended to and from Delhi Istanbul Delhi .He had to stayed inside the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) Delhi- Terminal -3 for almost two months. Because the only option had was to wait till the flight operation to start resume but Lock down was extended till May 17 2020. from 18th march till 12th may all he had to spent with is only one suitcase by sleeping ,reading news papers, magazine and talking with workers, security peoples and eating from the food court available there and virtually the Transit area of the airport became like his home. Authority contacted the local German Embassy but they did not give much attention due to the reason he was having pending cases and wanted in his country. Indian Goverment also could not help provide visa due pending criminal record in his country as well as Mr. Zeibat asl did not apply any Visa in prior. This make him complete immovable from the airport with out exit permission. As the passes away authority with pressure had to issue him "Leave Airport Notice" so he had asked the authority if they can arrange a seat on flight and he would pay the expenses. Latelt after spending for 54 days inside the airport he had been helped to secure a seat on KL relief flight by the authority due to he is eligible to travel to Amsterdam having valid multiple travel documents,on 12 May early morning he was tested for covid-19 and stood negative thus finally managed to travel Amstardam by KL evacuation flight with 292 passengers. Mr. Edgard Zeibat one of the survival of Corona virus spent his time inside Airport seemed like marooned similar to Story Hollywood fictional character Viktor Navorski he was also denied entry by America during civil war he loss his country identity, America no more recognized him.
