1 dead, several hurt after Uptown Charlotte shootings
One person was killed and five others were hurt in an Uptown Charlotte shooting Sunday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The shooting happened in a popular nightlife area on North College Street, close to First Ward Park and E. 7th Street, around 2 a.m. One person who had been shot died at the scene, police said.
