On August 21st of 2023, American sprint sensation Sha’Carri Richardson and Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson raced over the women’s 100-meter final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. This was one of the rare moments the two sprint prodigies were meeting on a big stage. And even though the event was highly anticipated with many fans rooting for Jackson, Richardson unleashed intense strength and blazed through the track to win the race with a world-leading time of 10.65 seconds.
