Make this UNBELIEVABLE Dessert with only FOUR Ingredients #shorts #puffpastry
ou won’t BELIEVE how EASY (and delicious) this Apricot Tarte Tatin is! You need only FOUR ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into small cubes 7-8 fresh apricots, pitted and halved 1 sheet of Puff Pastry Place the sugar in a hot heavy pan and allow it to caramelize over medium heat until golden brown. Do NOT stir the mixture but you can swirl it in the pan to keep it browning evenly. When the sugar is all melted and evenly colored remove from heat and add the butter and stir to incorporate. It may be a little hard to stir at first but it WIL melt and blend in to a toffee consistency. Next arrange the halved apricots in the pan, cut side down. Cut a circle out of the puff pastry that is the diameter of the pan, and place that on top of the apricots, tucking it into the sides of the pan. Prick pastry with a fork all over to allow steam to escape. Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for about 25 minutes. Top the pan with a plate larger than the pan, then holding the plate and the pan firmly, tip it upside down! (Wear potholders!!)
