Alleluia, alleluia. My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord. I know them, and they follow me. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel: Mark 1:29-39 And soon after departing from the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But the mother-in-law of Simon lay ill with a fever. And at once they told him about her. And drawing near to her, he raised her up, taking her by the hand. And immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them. Then, when evening arrived, after the sun had set, they brought to him all who had maladies and those who had demons. And the entire city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many who were troubled with various illnesses. And he cast out many demons, but he would not permit them to speak, because they knew him. And rising up very early, departing, he went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed. And Simon, and those who were with him, followed after him. And when they had found him, they said to him, “For everyone is seeking you.” And he said to them: “Let us go into the neighboring towns and cities, so that I may preach there also. Indeed, it was for this reason that I came.” And he was preaching in their synagogues and throughout all of Galilee, and casting out demons. == Wednesday, January 15, 2025 - A moment with GOD through HIS WORD. Reflection: What lies or temptations do you need to rebuke in your life, and how can you stand firm in the truth of Christ? Prayer: My precious and all-powerful Lord, I turn to You and You alone as the source of all Truth and the fullness of Truth. May I listen to Your voice alone and reject the many deceptions of the evil one and his demons. In Your precious name, Jesus, I rebuke satan and all evil spirits, their lies and their temptations. I send these spirits to the foot of Your Cross, dear Lord, and open my mind and heart only to You. Jesus, I trust in You.
