Yes, the star of the show is the E3 Pro, but I do have to give a special shoutout to AMVR for the Meta Quest accessories they gave me to test out during this vid. Here’s a link to their Amazon store too incase you wanna grab any of the extras I used in this video: https://amzn.to/4juMkKm Now, let’s get into the details of this session. So the main goal of this video and the former was to see how long the BOBOVR E3 Pro strap can actually extend the Meta Quest 3 battery life vs what their website claims and test out soe of the new features along the way. One thing I forgot to mention in my last update was during my app and software update session yesterday, I also revisited the Tripp VR meditation App. I forgot how cool the app is actually! Anyway, I decided to test out the new “flat back design” feature of the E3 Pro and can confirm that I’m a fan. The Tripp app doesn’t require you to lie down, but you can if you want and in my case, I just reclined my desk chair for my session and the flat back design was very comfortable. In the session I had today, I played 4 different games over roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes.and by the end of it I came out with 43% battery left on the E3 Pro which I’m not mad about. If we add my previous session of 33.5 mins to this session, it gives us about 2.37 hours of game play with the E3 Pro battery already with 44% left to go which to me indicates I will indeed be getting almost exactly 4 hours of extra game play with this head strap just like BOBOVR have promised, which is awesome! As far as games go, I played Beat Saber, SuperHot VR, Thrill of The Fight & WalkAbout Mini Golf which are all quite active games that require a lot of movement and I gotta say this head strap kept my Meta Quest 3 secure and comfortable the entire time. One thing I have noticed is that the clam shell design, or “elite design” as some are calling it, is a bit more accommodating for active use over other straps that feature the Halo Design like the BOBOVR M3 Pro. There’s definitely less bulk and more ventilation with straps like the E3 Pro. In summary, today’s session was a success. I did mention at the end of this video that I would have another session later in the day using Horizon worlds for the first time, which I did, but I’m going to document that in the next session to save on time for now.
