Usher, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran talk about attending MTV VMA red carpet

(25 Aug 2014) USHER, SAM SMITH AND KIESZA EXCITED TO ATTEND VMA SHOW MTV VMA veteran Usher was back this year with another nomination for best choreography in "Good Kisser." Also up for best choreography is Kiesza and her dance tune, "Hideaway." Staying true to her 90s inspired music video, Kiesza rocked a black crop top with a large bow and bright red Reebok high-tops. "Extremely excited," gushed Kiesza. "I mean I never expected a nomination so to even have one at all is amazing and now to be on the carpet and see all these people that I've seen in magazines and seeing their music videos now to see them for real it's exciting for me. It's my first time here." British singer Sam Smith was nominated for Best Male Video and also as an Artist to Watch for his chart topper song, "Stay With Me." Smith laughed about the irony of being nominated in a category against veteran artists such as Eminem and Pharrell Williams and in a new category on popular artists to keep an eye on. "I'm good," said Smith. "I'm just like you guys. I am watching all these amazing famous people walk up in amazing outfits, it's great." Also up as an Artist to Watch were the famed boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer. "It's really incredible that people are paying attention to a guitar band again. I think that's amazing and it's a big deal for us this is amazing," said the drummer and singer of the band, Ashton Irwin.
