God's Replacements 2 | Apostle Grace Lubega Phaneroo Devotional | Lyrical Cover
Apostle Grace Lubega Deuteronomy 9:14 (KJV); Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they. — When it comes to divine assignments, no one is irreplaceable. The Bible is full of accounts of people whom God had assigned a specific mandate and when they failed at it, He raised another man in their stead. Moses was appointed by God to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt into the Promised Land. When he erred in his assignment, God raised Joshua to finish the task that Moses had started (Deuteronomy 32:52). Our theme scripture reveals that God was ready to replace an entire nation, His chosen people, whom He had led out of Egypt with a strong and mighty hand because they had failed to understand His heart. When Peter refused to ‘kill and eat’, (Acts 10:13), God raised Paul, an apostle to the Gentiles. When Elijah yielded to the fear of Jezebel and forgot the God who could call fire from heaven and protect him, God raised Elisha as the new chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof (1 Kings 19:16). If these accounts teach you anything, then let it be this: divine assignments should never be taken lightly. God has called us to be faithful to the mandate He has placed upon our lives and do everything that must be done to comfortably say, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:’ (2 Timothy 4:7). FURTHER STUDY: 1 Kings 19:16; Deuteronomy 32:52 GOLDEN NUGGET: Divine assignments should never be taken lightly. God has called us to be faithful to the mandate He has placed upon our lives and do everything that must be done to comfortably say, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.’ PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the opportunity to serve You. I do so with diligence, commitment and availability. It will be said of me that I finished well and that I run my course to the very end, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
