Hi, I'm Danny with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System on our 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500. If you're wanting something maintenance-free, something very durable and it's gonna last the test of time, then these are a great option. They're gonna prevent that bounce you may get when you have a trailer attached and you hit a bumpy road, it'll level everything out, especially if you hit a pothole on one side, they're independent of each other, so it can correct you a lot faster. Now having these will also prolong the life of your suspension as well. If you're wanting something hassle-free, then these are gonna be a great option. But if you have varying loads you're towing or you just want something that you can kind of dial in of what you need and something a little more comfortable, then airbags might be a good option to look into 'cause you can set those at varying PSIs depending on your loads. Some people have noticed that these Timbrens that we just installed, they're a little stiff. So if you don't have anything in the bed or any weight back here, and you go over some bumps, could be a little jarring. So if that's a concern, then you may want to check out these Sumo Springs. They have a little bit more of a give and it's gonna be a little bit more of a smoother ride. As far as the install goes, it's really easy. You can do it in your driveway with a floor jack and two sockets. So if you're ready to get this installed, then follow along and I'll show you how to do it. To start off this installation, I went ahead and got a pull jack and lifted the bed up to separate it from the axle just to give us a little more space to work with. If you're doing this on the ground, you can use a regular jack and get the same result. And now I'm using a 10 millimeter socket and I'm gonna get this factory jounce bumper removed. (socket clicking) And now you can set the old jounce bumper to the side. Now there's two different ways you can set up your Timbrens here. There's gonna be a spacer that comes in the kit and you can add that if you have the room or if you're wanting a stiffer ride for heavier loads or heavier trailers. Now if you don't like that stiff ride, you can remove this and just do the metal plate on top and that'll give you a little bit better, smoother of a ride. And if you're not using the spacer, make sure you're using the smaller hardware. And if you are, use the longer hardware. Now there's gonna be a big opening on one side and a metal inlet on the other. So you can hear there's a washer inside of there. So you're actually gonna wanna line that up with the bolt on the bottom here. And I'm gonna flip it around and get this bolt through the top hole. Now I'm gonna go ahead and put our spacer on and our metal ring. I put a 17-millimeter socket on the extension here just to get everything held into place. And now I'm gonna thread this bolt into our frame. And now I'm gonna go ahead and torque this down to the specs in the instructions. If you don't have a torque wrench at home, you can buy one from us at etrailer, or sometimes usually can rent 'em from your local auto parts store. (metal clanking) And once you've done this on one side, you can go ahead and repeat the same process on the other side, then you can go ahead and lower your bed back down and you're ready to hit the road. Now if you have any further questions about what suspension enhancement's gonna be best for your vehicle, then please feel free to reach out to us at etrailer. But that just about does it for the look at the Timbren Suspension Enhancement on our 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
