NACFC 2022 | W34: Host Response to Infection
Chronic and recurrent infections continue to present challenges for people with cystic fibrosis. While host innate and adaptive immune responses are required for the elimination of infections, sustained or aberrant recruitment of immune cells facilitates increased tissue damage. In this workshop, we examine the interplay of the host immune response with microbial factors and highlight relationships between cell-specific CFTR dysfunction, inflammation, and microbial ecology.
