In early trade, the Sensex rose 280.38 points to reach 78,551.66 points, while the Nifty rose 77.25 points to reach 23,773.55 points. Currently, the Sensex is trading with a decline of more than 150 points and the Nifty is down by more than 50 points. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers on Wednesday and sold shares worth Rs 1,682.83 crore.
