
দুধ কলা চিরা | Dudh Kola Chira Recipe | Banana Brulée, Flattened Rice and Milk | Bangladeshi Sehri
This is nostalgic sehri food for me during ramadan and reminds me of my childhood in Bangladesh. The bruleed banana is my own touch; more traditionally served with sliced bananas without the bruleed topping. But the crunch and sweetness of the brulee takes this humble meal to a whole other level! Flattened rice (chira) is also ideal for ramadan and generally considered a better alternative to white rice for individuals with diabetes due to its lower GI and higher fiber content. It causes a moderate rise in blood sugar levels compared to white rice.
