CHEVY - No Crank, No Start Diagnostic. Works on 99% of all GM vehicles
Mongo working on the 2003 chevy suburban. We do all sorts of videos on this truck. This has the 5.3L engine, auto trans and 4 wheel drive. The works exactly the same on the suburban, Tahoe, Silverado and Sierra of the same years/generation. Mongo got confused. Mongo Did replace the battery in this truck in early winter BUT did not film it. Mongo replaced and filmed the dual batteries he installed in the 13 Silverado link here - • Silverado Dual Batteries 00:00 HIs STORY 01:00 T-case Neutral Select The only safe way to flat town this vehicle is with the Transfer case in Neutral. If you can not get it in Neutral and you flat town an automatic transmission you will destroy the transmission - basically the transmission spins but the oil pump does not (because its driven from the engine) and the clutch packs burn up. 01:53 NO crank NO start testing Battery test, ignition relay test, fuel pump test, starter test. When you jumper the starter relay and the starter cranks the engine that means the issue is in the harness/wires or the ignition switch (cold also be in the computer but it is very rare). Note: always reference your vehicle service manual for repair processes and procedures. This is what Mongo does for Diagnosing a NO crank NO start condition. This process work on 99% of all GM vehicles. 1980 chevy vehicles all the way to todays vehicles. The battery, fuse box and starter are all in different locations and look different but the process is EXACTLY the same. Test battery, test relay, test starter. Replace/repair the item that fails the test. The relay test determines if you head down the starter direction or down the ignition switch path.
