Today, on Wednesday of the 23rd Week in Ordinary Time (Year B), the Church invites us to reflect deeply on God’s call to mercy, forgiveness, and love. 📜 First Reading – Colossians 3:1–11 St. Paul reminds us that if we have been raised with Christ, we must seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. We are called to put away our old self with its sinful habits and embrace the new self, renewed in the image of God. 💫 Reflection: We must let go of anger, impurity, and greed and instead live in holiness, clothed with Christ. 📖 Responsorial Psalm – The Lord is compassionate toward all His works. 🙌 The psalm praises God’s greatness, compassion, and everlasting Kingdom. It reminds us that every work of God should give Him glory. 📖 Gospel Reading – Luke 6:20–26 Jesus delivers the Beatitudes and Woes: Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you because of the Son of Man. But He also warns: Woe to the rich, the well-fed, and those who laugh now, for they will face sorrow later. Reflection: True happiness comes not from worldly riches but from living in God’s love. We are called to trust Him, even in suffering, for He promises eternal joy. 🌈 🙏 Prayer of the Day Lord Jesus, help us to choose the eternal over the temporary, to live humbly, and to rejoice in Your Kingdom.
