KL Auschwitz liberation - Ilyushin DB3 F / IŁ-4

Remains of the wreck of the Russian bomber plane Ilyushin DB3 F / IŁ-4 Aircraft has been shot down 19 January 1945 during frontline activities by one of German anti-aircraft batteries Flakgruppe Auschwitz, stationed in Przecieszyn, Brzeszcze municipality. It is merely 7 kilometres from Auschwitz camp. On that day Auschwitz was one of the alternative target for bombardments, but these were ranged all the way up to Wrocław. Wreck of the plane is probably part of any division of 18th Air Red Army . Found parts belong to an aircraft that took part in liberating German Nazi concentration and annihilation camp KL Auschwitz-Birkenau.
