DAILY LITURGY – NOVEMBER 9, 2025 | OUR HOLY FAMILY
🎧 Meditate on the Word of God with us in this moment of faith and prayer. Today, the Church celebrates the **Dedication of the Basilica of St. John Lateran**, the first church built after the end of the persecutions of Christians, considered the **Mother and Head of all the churches of Rome and the world**. On this solemnity, we remember that the true temple of God is not the walls, but the heart of each faithful person who shelters the Lord. 📖 *Today's Readings:* • *First Reading:* Ezekiel 47:1-2, 8-9, 12 — “There will be life wherever the river flows.” • *Psalm:* Psalm 45(46) — “The streams of a river bring joy to the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.” • *Second Reading:* 1 Corinthians 3:9c-11, 16-17 — “You are God’s temple, and God’s Spirit dwells in you.” • *Gospel:* John 2:13-22 — “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 💫 In this liturgy, we contemplate **Christ as the true Temple**. When Jesus drives out the money changers, He reveals that the stone temple is only a figure of the great mystery: **God dwells among us in His Son**, and, through the Holy Spirit, makes His home in our hearts. To celebrate the Lateran Basilica is to celebrate the living Church itself — formed by spiritual stones, men and women who, united to Christ, become the dwelling place of God.
