"Love Hurts" is a song written and composed by the American songwriter Boudleaux Bryant. First recorded by the Everly Brothers in July 1960, the song is most well known in two hit versions by UK artists; by Scottish hard rock band Nazareth in 1974 and by English singer-songwriter Jim Capaldi in 1975. The song was introduced in October 1960 as an album track on A Date with the Everly Brothers but was never released as a single (A-side or B-side) by the Everlys. The former Alvensleben Castle, now Veltheimsburg, is a former castle complex in the district of Bebertal-Alvensleben, which belongs to the municipality of Hohe Börde. With the exception of the round keep and the remains of the Romanesque Pallas of the Margrave's Castle, which can be seen in the picture, all of the medieval buildings have been demolished. The manor house and a courtyard building of the Veltheimsburg are also present. The associated park, under which a labyrinth of underground passages is said to run, covers the site of the former bishop's castle and the sloping castle hill rocks. After 1945, the buildings of the Veltheimsburg served as a children's home, among other things. Some of the buildings are used as a registry office, a local history room and for catering. Flea markets, garden festivals and shooting festivals are held on the castle grounds. Die frühere Burg Alvensleben, heute Veltheimsburg, ist ein ehemaliger Burgenkomplex in dem zur Gemeinde Hohe Börde gehörigen Ortsteil Bebertal-Alvensleben. Bis auf den runden Bergfried und die im Bilde sichtbaren Reste der romanischen Pallas der Markgrafenburg sind alle mittelalterlichen Gebäude abgebrochen. Vorhanden sind außerdem das Herrenhaus und ein Hofgebäude der Veltheimsburg. Der dazugehörige Park, unter dem sich ein Labyrinth unterirdischer Gänge hinziehen soll, bedeckt das Gelände der ehemaligen Bischofsburg und den rings abfallenden Burgbergfelsen. Die Gebäude der Veltheimsburg dienten nach 1945 u. a. als Kinderheim. Ein Teil der Gebäude wird als Standesamt, als Heimatstube und gastronomisch genutzt. Auf dem Burggelände werden Flohmärkte, Gartenfestivals und Schützenfeste veranstaltet.
