Preprocessing-06: The Proposal Portal
The Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program (EnMAP), managed by the German Space Agency at DLR and funded from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), is a German hyperspectral satellite mission that monitors and characterizes the Earth’s environment on a global scale. The satellite was successfully launched in April 2022. Registered users can request new data acquisitions or can obtain archived data through the EnMAP Data Access Portal. This video shows how to create and submit a new proposal in the Proposal Portal by specifying the required parameters and background information. Please check out our other videos on registering to the EnMAP Data Access Portal, submitting future observation requests and obtaining data from the data archive. This video was produced in cooperation with the DLR Ground Segment. *** FREE ONLINE COURSE *** ‘Beyond the Visible – EnMAP data access and image preprocessing techniques‘ is an advanced short course on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing focusing on image data access and image preprocessing of EnMAP satellite data and is presented by HYPERedu and EO-College. OPEN FROM July 2023 Course page: https://eo-college.org/courses/beyond... This course teaches the fundamentals of preprocessing methods specifically for imaging spectroscopy data and how this workflow is reflected in EnMAP products. Additionally, you will get to know the German hyperspectral mission EnMAP in much more detail, and see how you can access EnMAP data, and order new acquisitions. The course was developed by GFZ Potsdam as part of the HYPERedu initiative with support from experts at various partner institutions, particularly the DLR Ground Segment. The development was funded within the EnMAP science program under the German Space Agency at DLR with resources from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
