Tuesday, September 16, 2025: I say to you, arise! Daily readings and Catholic reflection. Gospel of the day according to Saint Luke 7:11-17 Commentary on today's Gospel by Friar Germán: None https://www.dominicos.org/predicacion... Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke 7:11-17: Jesus was on his way to a city called Nain, with his disciples and a large crowd traveling with him. As he approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. A large crowd from the city was accompanying her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." And he approached the coffin, touched it (those who carried it stopped), and said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to speak, and she handed him to his mother. All, overcome with fear, gave glory to God, saying, "A great Prophet has arisen among us," and "God has visited his people." This news spread throughout Judea and the surrounding region.
