Bill Federer Shares the Message Charlie Kirk Sent Just Before His Death
Sweet friends, this Short is one of the most emotional conversations I’ve ever shared on Standing Firm. In this clip, my dear friend Bill Federer tells a powerful story about his relationship with Charlie Kirk—stories that reveal the kind of man Charlie truly was. Bill had known Charlie since 2014. They shared stages, spoke at countless events, and texted back and forth—sometimes scripture, sometimes American history, sometimes questions about faith and culture. Charlie was the kind of person who never let a moment go by without bringing Jesus into the center of the conversation. Bill even wrote a book on socialism and dedicated it to Charlie and Turning Point. Charlie read it cover to cover, marking pages, folding corners, and filling it with sticky notes. That was Charlie—always learning, always sharpening his biblical worldview, and always fighting to preserve God, family, and America SHORT 1 . What takes my breath away are Charlie’s final messages. On Easter, he and Bill were sharing scripture and worship music—Charlie reminding him, “We need to be bolder about telling people about the resurrection.” And then, just one day before he was shot, Charlie texted Bill 1 Corinthians 16:9: “There is a wide door for effective ministry open for me, but there are many adversaries.” Friends, he knew the battle. He saw the mission. And he never backed down. At Charlie’s memorial service, history was made. Seventy-five thousand people packed a stadium. Another twenty-five thousand overflowed outside. Over 200 million people streamed the service online. And at that gathering, the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached louder and clearer than ever before. Bill described it as the single largest audience in history to hear the gospel message all at once. Think about that—Charlie’s life and legacy created a moment no one could ignore. Leaders from every corner of our nation stood up and declared Jesus. Senator Rubio shared the full gospel. Tulsi Gabbard quoted scripture. Even those who are often silent on matters of faith boldly proclaimed, “Christ is King.” And they did it because Charlie inspired them to stop being ashamed of the name of Jesus. And then came the moment that shook the stadium. Erica, Charlie’s beloved wife, stood before the world and forgave her husband’s killer. Bill described it as if the Holy Spirit poured healing oil over every person present. What was meant for evil was transformed into a display of supernatural grace. The crowd wept. The Spirit of God moved. And the narrative of hatred and division was broken right there, in real time. Friends, this is why we do Standing Firm. This is why we disciple our children, why we hold fast to a biblical worldview, and why we refuse to let this culture silence us. Charlie’s death was tragic beyond words, but his life continues to point us toward Jesus Christ. He taught us to be bold. To lead our families. To resist Marxism and the lies of the enemy. And to always remember that truth and love walk hand in hand. So as you watch this Short, I want you to hear my heart: don’t just remember Charlie—live like Charlie lived. Live unafraid. Speak the name of Jesus without compromise. Lead your children in the Word of God. And when the world presses in, stand firm. 🙏 Please share this Short with someone who needs to hear it. Like, subscribe, and stay connected with us on Standing Firm—whether here on YouTube, on Apple Podcasts, or Spotify. Together, we will honor Charlie’s legacy by keeping the faith, advancing the gospel, and raising the next generation to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. ✝️ “Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:13 God bless you, friends. Let’s stand firm together.
