Draw line segment AB with length 5.8cm II. At point A, construct a 90oangle using a compass ( perpendicular bisector method) III. From point A, along the line at 90o to AB, measure and mark a length of 4.2cm. label this point C. IV. Connect point B and C to form Δ ABC. Part b Steps of construction I. Draw a line segment LM of length 4cm. II. At point M, construct an angle of 1200 . Extend a line from M at this angle III. From point M along the line just drew, measure and mark a length of 4.7cm. label this point N IV. Connect point N and L to complete the triangle Δ LMN Part c Steps of construction I. Draw a line segment PQ of length 7.2 cm II. At point P, construct an angle of 45o. extend a line from P at this angle III. At point Q, construct an angle 75o in the direction that will intersect the line drawn from P, Extend a line from Q at this angle. IV. The point where these two lines intersect is a point R. connect points R ti P and R to Q to complete the triangle Δ PQR Part d Steps of construction I. Draw a line segment XY of length 5cm II. At point X, construct an angle 300 . Extend a line from X at this angle. III. Since the sun of angles in a triangle must be 180 degree and we already have 300 +1050= 1350. IV. The remaining angle at Y must be 1800- 1350= 45o V. Construct an angle of 45o at Y. VI. The point where the two lines from X and Y intersect will be point Z. VII.
