This fig cream cheese is incredibly rich and creamy with a perfectly balanced sweetness. Once you master this method, you can customize any flavor you like! 📝 Ingredients ✔ 200g (7 oz) cream cheese ✔ 50–60g (3.5–4 tbsp) fig jam (homemade, see recipe below) ✔ Bagels or bread for serving Fig Jam Ingredients ✔ 100g (3.5 oz) dried figs (semi-dried for better flavor) ✔ 75g (5 tbsp) muscovado sugar (unrefined sugar) ✔ 1 cinnamon stick ✔ 240ml (1 cup) red wine ✔ 240ml (1 cup) water 🔪 Instructions 1️⃣ Prepare the figs – Remove the hard stem and chop into small pieces. 2️⃣ Cook the jam – In a saucepan, combine figs, sugar, cinnamon, and red wine. Bring to a boil on high heat. 3️⃣ Reduce & simmer – Once the wine is reduced by half, remove the cinnamon stick. Lower to medium heat and let it thicken. 4️⃣ Adjust the consistency – Add water and simmer until the jam reaches a thick consistency. 5️⃣ Cool completely – Store in an airtight container in the fridge. 6️⃣ Mix with cream cheese – Blend the fig jam with softened cream cheese.
