President Clinton left the White House, Sunday accompanied by First Lady Hillary and their daughter Chelsea. The President was starting a whistle stop tour that will take him from West Virginia, most of the way to the Democratic convention in Chicago. He'll be addressing a crowd at the old Chesapeake and Ohio train station in Huntington, West Virginia, before the train -- dubbed the "21st Century Express" -- pulls out. He's also got stops planned in Ashland, Kentucky, and Chillicothe Ohio, before stopping for the night near Columbus, Ohio. Although the president will not arrive in the Windy City until Wednesday, he'll be campaigning all the way. A Democrat official says Clinton will unveil a series on initiatives during his train trip. He's expected to kick off on Monday -- the day the convention opens -- by announcing proposals for a ban on handgun purchases by people convicted of domestic abuse. The announcement of a new education proposal, aimed at reducing illiteracy, is expected on Tuesday, followed by the announcement of an environmental initiative the next day.
