Christmas Eve at AHBC on 12/24/2025
✨ Christmas Eve Worship | December 24, 2025 Augusta Heights Baptist Church Theme: God Can’t Wait On Christmas Eve, we gathered at Augusta Heights Baptist to celebrate the holy mystery of Christ’s birth—when waiting gives way to wonder and love takes on flesh. Surrounded by candlelight, carols, and quiet anticipation, this service invited us to listen closely to the ancient story and to the hope still breaking into our world. Through scripture from Luke 2:1–20, shared song, and a Lovefeast filled with familiar carols, we remembered that God comes not with force or haste, but with tenderness and light. Special music and readings—Winter Snow and Wendell Berry’s “Remembering That It Happened Once”—deepened our reflection on the miracle of Emmanuel, God with us. In the message “God Can’t Wait,” Pastor Greg Dover reflected on the urgency of divine love—a love that does not remain distant, but enters fully into human life. As candles were lit and voices joined in Silent Night and Joy to the World, the sanctuary glowed with the promise that light has come, and the darkness has not overcome it. This Christmas Eve service was a reminder that the long wait has ended, the promise has arrived, and God is still drawing near.
