A man named Handsome Jack is the main antagonist of the game - he is the new head of the Hyperion Corporation, has taken credit for the slaying of The Destroyer, constructs a large H-shaped base called Helios that blocks Pandora's moon and covers parts of the planet in H-shaped darkness, all the while planning something even more sinister for the planet.
