Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 we're going to be installing SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number SSR-338-47.Now this is what it's going to look like when it's installed. As you can see, now that or vehicle's back on the ground . You can see that it's already making contact with our axle, so we're going to get immediate benefits from our helper springs. These benefits will include a smoother ride because our suspension's going to be receiving assistance from our SumoSpring right off the bat. It's going to reduce body roll and sway because we have that additional resistance here keeping our body straight. And it's just going to give us an overall more pleasant driving experience because it'll be easier to maintain control of our motor home. Additionally, when you load up your vehicle, typically the rear ends starts to sag. Having these rear helper springs in the rear is going to help provide assistance to maintain closer to level as possible. What this means for you is that your suspension is going to be in its normal ride height geometry so you're going to maintain the steering and braking performance that you had as if it was unloaded. These springs have a 2,000 pound capacity at 50% compression. Now it is important to remember that this doesn't increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. That's just how much assistance it can provide. Each helper spring will work independently from on another to help compensate for uneven loads. Additionally, when making tight turns and going over uneven pavement, they'll also help reduce body roll. The microcellular urethane springs offer progressive load control, so under light loads the spring compress easily at first for a soft engagement to just provide a smoother, less bumpy, comfy ride. But with heavier loads, the springs can compress as much as 80% to provide additional support and load carrying. They have an operating temperature of -25 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and have resistance to oils, road salts, and UV rays for a long-lasting operation. Here you can see our now SumoSpring versus our factory jounce bumper. You can already tell that our SumoSpring is going to make contact with our axle far sooner than our jounce bumper ever would. This is going to provide plenty of cushion to help assist our suspension while going down the road. This is going to equal smoother ride with less jarring, bumps, and sway.If you're comparing this to any other suspension upgrade, this is going to be one of the quickest and easiest to install. There's no drilling required, there's no hardware. It just simply pops right into place, replacing your old jounce bumper. We'll begin our installation by jacking up the rear of our vehicle and placing it on jack stands. When you do this, you also want to make sure that you chock the front wheel so it doesn't roll anywhere. Now we're going to get underneath on our passenger side and we'll start there. We'll begin by removing our factory jounce bumper. This jounce bumper just sits in the cradle located here underneath our frame between our axle here. All you got to do to get this out is just pry it out. You'll want to start at the rear and just twist your pry bar. Once you've got it worked down like that where there's an opening here, you can take a flat bladed screwdriver and just poke it in that opening and pop it out. Our SumoSpring does have a front and a back. The front has a slightly longer ear here than the rear. You want to make sure that this goes towards the front, and we're going to install that first. We'll just slide that up in the groove. Once you've got it all the way seated, we'll just have to work your back in. I find it easiest to do this with a screwdriver by starting with one side, getting it tucked up behind it, and keep some pressure on your spring and just work that all the way down until it pops in. Now you'll just repeat that exact same process on the other side. That completes our installation of SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle on our 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 3500.
