Chinese artist makes lifelike dough figurines

Liu Fang, a craftswoman in north China's Tianjin City makes delicate and fantastic dough figurines by flour and pigments. She uses scissors, bamboo knives and small combs to cut, carve and mold vivid Chinese fairies. She has also innovated the folk art by adding int'l popular colors. Dough figurine, known as Mianren or Miansu in Chinese, is a traditional Chinese folk art which can be traced back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD).
